Why Do People Have Buttocks Surgery?

The goals of buttock augmentation are simple, and it starts with improving the shape of a person’s backside. Volume and roundness are two things that most people wish they had, but only the rare few do something about it. Buttocks surgery is designed to improve the proportions of the person’s silhouette while helping the patient regain confidence and well-being.

Claims

Any adult who is not satisfied with the size or shape of their buttocks can benefit from this type of cosmetic surgery. Patients with buttocks disproportionateness may use this surgery to help with this problem. Ideally, patients should be healthy and have a clear and realistic goal in mind.

Aesthetics

In men and women, it is the body’s muscles and fat that give the buttocks its definition. Excess fat above and around the buttocks can make them look smaller and flatter. This is why liposuction is commonly performed before the implementation of gluteal implants and is the first necessary step of lipofilling (fat transfer).

Liposuction is performed on the hips, the lower back, or the thighs. There are two different techniques to consider: lipofilling of the buttocks and augmentation of buttocks by implants.

Gluteal implants

Implants are available in different shapes and sizes and are made of silicone gel. They are inserted into the buttocks through an incision made in the inter-gluteal fold, and the resulting scar is well concealed. The implants are positioned under the fascia (connective tissue membrane surrounding the muscles) or under the muscle so that the coverage provided by these tissues gives a natural appearance to the area’s volume.

Buttock Lipofilling (Brazilian Butt Lift)

This method involves taking fat from the patient and transferring it to the buttocks. The areas of the abdomen, hips, and thighs often serve as a collection area. The fat removed by liposuction is purified to keep only the fat cells and is then injected meticulously at different depths and various places in the buttocks.

In these cases, liposuction of the saddlebags and hips to thin the thighs and accentuate the hips/buttocks transition can significantly enhance the appearance of the buttocks. Any depressions in the area may be rectified at the same time. For more details, contact Dr. Michael Zacharia today.
